Library Staff Participating in ILEAD USA

We are proud to announce that four of Brookens Library staff members are participating in ILEAD USA 2013. ILEAD USA is a year-long program designed to help library staff understand and respond to user needs through the application of participatory technology tools and the creation of an easy-to-replicate model program. Illinois participants will join participants from Colorado, Utah, Ohio and Iowa. ILEAD USA is made possible by a Laura Bush 21st Century Librarian Program grant to the State Library from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (The State Library of Illinois). Only ten teams were accepted this year so we are pleased to have Dorothy Hemmo & John Laubersheimer  participating on the team level as members of Team Amazing, Sarah Sagmoen serving for the second time as an instructor and Dean Treadwell on the national steering committee! We hope to represent Brookens Library and the University of Illinois well, bringing back vital information and resources to better serve our community!
