Explore and learn about the unknown through mystery, adventure, sci-fi, and fantasy books during Teen Read Week, October 13-19!
You don’t have to be a teen to enjoy the books that are featured for Teen Read Week! We invite readers of all ages to check out one of these books!
Teen Read Week™ is a national adolescent literacy initiative created by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA). It began in 1998 and is held annually during the third week of October. Its purpose is to encourage teens to be regular readers and library users. –American Library Association
Teens can vote for their favorite Young Adult book in the “teen choice” list. Members of teen book groups thought the country nominated books to be voted on from the previous year. Teens (ages 12 to 18) can now vote on their favorites in this list to make the 2013 Teen’s Top Ten list.
If you are between the ages of 12 to 18 vote here: www.ala.org/yalsa/reads4teens
The winners will be announced at the end of the week!
You can take part in Teen Read week and Read for the Fun of It!
