Concealed Carry – Prohibited Area

On July 9, 2013, Public Act 98-63, the Firearm Concealed Carry Act, became state law (430 ILCS 66). There are several areas in which concealed carry is prohibited under the law:

(15) Any building, classroom, laboratory, medical
clinic, hospital, artistic venue, athletic venue,
entertainment venue, officially recognized
university-related organization property, whether owned or
leased, and any real property, including parking areas,
sidewalks, and common areas under the control of a public
or private community college, college, or university.
You will not be permitted to bring a firearm into Brookens Library under the Firearm Concealed Carry Act. We appreciate your cooperation.
