Five Library New Year’s Resolutions You Can Keep

Start the new semester off on the right foot with these five easy library New Year’s resolutions that can help save you time on your research projects and give you more opportunities for some much-needed rest and relaxation.

  1. Find out who your librarian is. Whether you are finding sources for a paper you are writing or need an overview of what is available to you at the library, a librarian is available to help you by providing personalized research help through either an in-person appointment or via email or phone.
  1. Follow Brookens Library on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
  1. Set up an InterLibrary Loan account. Ever run across an article that we don’t have or need a book that isn’t in our collection? Having an InterLibrary Loan account means you can quickly make requests for materials we don’t have with the click of a button.
  1. Bookmark the research guides that relate to your classes. These guides have quick links to library databases and resources that are useful for different disciplines like Biology, Business, and Social Work, just to name a few.
  1. Download the CloudLibrary app and gain access to thousands of ebooks and audiobooks on the device of your choice.
