The University will be performing scheduled maintenance on Tuesday, August 9 to make upgrades to the primary data center. For OFF-CAMPUS library users: ILLiad and EZproxy (used for off campus access to our resources) will experience periods of downtime. Beginning at midnight, you may not be able to access all of our resources during the periods of downtown. Services are expected to be fully up and running by 5pm.

As part of our ongoing efforts to provide a stable and robust infrastructure for the campus, ITS in cooperation with Facilities and Services is implementing major upgrades in our primary data center in HSB. This upgrade requires maintenance scheduled for Tuesday, August 9 that will provide the campus with a more resilient data center.
On this day, many of our services will be unavailable. Most services will see periods of downtime. However, email, UIS Wifi, cloud services, and printing will be up and running.
Blackboard is also undergoing maintenance on August 9th and will be unavailable from midnight through 5pm.
Please continue to look for notices reminding you of this date so that you can be prepared for service outages. We will keep the campus notified of all changes.

Discovery and ILL services unavailable from 8 PM Saturday, June 4 through 11 AM Sunday, June 5, 2016
Due to scheduled maintenance, many of Brookens Library’s online services will be unavailable from 8 PM Saturday, June 4 through 11 AM Sunday, June 5, 2016. During this time Discovery (which includes the ‘everything’ search, articles, videos, and journals tabs on the library home page) will be unavailable. Users will also be unable to request items using their My ILL account. We apologize for any inconvenience.
I-Share unavailable 4 AM-12 PM, Saturday, May 21
On Saturday, May 21, 2016 from 4:00 AM-12 PM, I-Share services will be unavailable while the University of Illinois network staff performs maintenance.
Services affected include: VuFind local catalogs, the I-Share union catalog, and WebVoyage local catalogs. Users will also be unable to request or renew items using their My Library Account. We apologize for any inconvenience.

To ensure you have access to they highest quality resources and services My ILL Account & Service will be unavailable on Monday, July 27th between 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm for scheduled maintenance.
How you may be impacted:

Starting at 12:01AM this Sunday July 19th, maintenance on the Books & Media server will begin. The maintenance should take at least 10 hours. During that time, patrons will be unable to search the Books & Media and I-Share catalogs. This include placing I-Share requests, accessing My Library Account, and item availability in Quick Search. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Brookens Library will be upgrading our catalog system (I-Share Voyager) beginning at 5 pm on Friday, June 12. During the upgrade process Books & Media, My Library Account, I-Share, and item availability in Quick Search will be unavailable. We anticipate the upgrade will be completed by 8 am Monday, June 15. The library will be open regular operating hours during this upgrade and all other services will be available.

OCLC is currently experiencing a system outage that affects WorldCat Local and WorldCat Discovery services.
