as we welcome Dr. William Sisler.
This event is free and open to the public. Dr. Sisler’s lecture is part of the University of Illinois Press’s 90th anniversary celebration and The Big Read.
Dr. Sisler, Director of Harvard University Press, will be speaking on”The End of Reading, the Future of Scholarly Publishing.” Dr. Sisler will address themes raised in the National Endowment for the Arts “Reading at Risk” and Ray Bradbury’s classic Fahrenheit 451.
The Friends of Brookens Library are co-sponsoring this event and will host a dessert reception in the PAC Restaurant after Dr. Sisler’s lecture.
